Dead MOBI Walking

Following Yahoo and Microsoft's firm decisions to walk from the deals under consideration, 10 of the top 10 domain experts in the world have all declared dotMOBI domains toxic and non-liquid assets, suggesting that unless you have millions in the bank to wait the forthcoming depression out, the amount of dotMOBI drops we can expect in the next few weeks will place the TLD on life support.

Experts unanimously agree that finding a strong $20,000 dotCOM domain is the only path to success in a recession. One expert noted the $20K domain today was $100K yesterday and will be $200K tomorrow. Mobis and other TLDS (except org, us, cc tlds and dot Net) will NEVER be any more then they are today-- and probably less.

BS. There are several well known domainers with large followings who are intentionally deflating the value of .mobi so they can build their own portfolios.

I don't think we will see dot mobi catch on anytime soon either. Look at the new smart phones, mine phone displays websites formatted just like my laptop, maybe 5 years ago special mobi websites were a good idea. With the new phones and todays technology, no it doesn't have a place. Its like playing atari games on a wii
