Using Free Credit Report (.GOV), FTC Guns For FreeCreditReport.com: A Free Credit Score Followed by a Monthly Bill


We reported first on how one of the biggest credit agencies, Experian, (who has to by LAW give you a FREE credit report), profited from confusion. Now the government at freecreditreport.gov is trying to counter what it says are ads that trick consumers into paying for credit monitoring. What the hell took so long? This is not an isolated incident by any means.

I would say that at least half the ads for products would be bannned in England under trade description Act.

American capitalism sucks when it relies on the law to enforce contracts that are blatantly misleading
