Mark Sandulli, CEO of the site dotmobi.us, and his partner Brett Napoli are trying to get people to realize the value of the 500 ".mobi'' web names they invested in. But much has changed in the mobile phone world since they invested in these names four years ago.
Don't let me be the first to tell you I told you so. Don't you hate people who do that?
And don't be mad at yourself for paying renewals for three years after you refused to listen when I told you so. And don't excuse the people behind dotMOBI for doing nothing when I clearly showed them a way out.
So now maybe you'll listen to the Miami Herald when they are a year too late in reporting the funeral for dotMOBI we reported here. In an article titled: Some investors refuse to lose faith in domain names-- they write 'As mobile technology changes fast, so do chances to invest in it. The popularity of Facebook pages and smartphone apps may signal the death of dot mobi.
The article continued to discuss Rick Schwartz "the South Florida ``Domain King's'' wish-I'd-thoughta-that money-making formula has gone sour of late. And he's not alone.Schwartz and other Internet tycoons who paid tens of thousands or more scooping up domain names that end in ``.mobi'' -- which are designed to be easily viewed on mobile screens -- have found the names are now all but worthless."
Of course what the Heralds' BRIDGET CAREY (who had been very good to the Frager factor in previous reporting and one of the few reporters who support this industry) fails to see in Schwartz's case is that even as a tax loss Flowers.mobi is worth a minimum $70,000 if Schwartz wanted to do that. Unfortunately those wishers, hopers and dreamers hanging out in self-proclaimed "center of the mobile universive" called Mobility.Mobi have no income they can use such a loss against.
Don't shoot the messenger but go back and read all my dotMobi threads,. As one of the team that introduced mobility solutions for billion dollar software scion and Microsoft backbone, Citrix, I kind of had first hand experience and research to draw from.
Now what else could The Frager Factor be telling you that can save or make you money today. Worth a look.

The unfortunate reality is - people make mistakes. I personally don't own a single .mobi and never entertained the idea of buying one. Perhaps the introduction of the new TLD's will change the market in such a way that these domains will be worth paying $$$ for. Only time will tell.
why u waste time and energy on useless things.
i checked their domains, not that they have wasted money, they have also wasted time.
Double loss, and now you are on to triple loss writing mobi posts.
.mobi failed because there is a God :)
