I told you that the game is on to find the next "word" or "Photoshop" --- Look to the right and you'll see confirmation that cloud companies are acquiring generic descriptive words- short that stand out on icons- so like it was Microsoft Word it's Salesforce.com Desk. Such names are easily worth a million dollars or more. Because that's typically what a software company would pay to a branding agency to create one. It's also because make one license 25 million dupes- that's $5billion which recurs every upgrade.
Salesforce.com bought a help desk software company called Assisty and simply rebranded it Desk. Smart. If you look at their other recent acquisitions you'll see products merged and simplified and ripe to be renamed to something just as appealing.
More importantly look at the names they compete with and beat just by name like Desk alone:

So I repeat the most important asset needed for success is the name. I've said that 33% of the brands out there are doomed to failure with names that won't be remembered, spelled, pronounced or found. Frank Schilling says that there are 5 million businesses and less than 250 million suitable names. I'd say when you factor in Siri, that drops by half.
One day sooner that later there will be a situation where all names will have a permanent home. For those who waited, hesitated...game over.
