The Frosting on Domain Cake: Think of Domains As Brands For SKUs

There are alot more eyeballs on those labels in store aisles every day then there are on any website.  

Introducing a new product and getting attention for it, and being able to provide a memorable link to a website with more information is key.

A huge opportunity exists especially with vitamins and other skus with odd domains or medical names. 
For example, if I just bought some Hines Muffin Mix it would be great to offer a prize for MuffinRecipes.com (Schilling domain) on the package and communicate with impact in a way this their current campaign I've taken a screen shot from doesn't.

Then you get this anonymous customer from the supermarket, put their credentials in a database and begin a lifetime relationship with social marketing and coupons to keep them from the competition.

In this case only one of 1000 cake mix companies can have this domain.
This has a lot more emotional appeal and personal touch than a QR code.
