$4 Billion Dollar Kitty For Advertising Agency Acquisitions Drives Urgent Need For Names

The French ad holding company has an insatiable appetite. After gobbling up big players, it's looking for small and midsize digital firms to buy. 


On this list of Domain Name Sales you can find a lot of name acquired to brand emerging startup agencies and these names alone may attract buyers. Like Acker.comBehaviour.comFireFlies.comOberhauser.com, WeAreFine.com, OurManInHavana.com and many more shown HERE.

Mark my words. Check back in six months and you'll see some of these brands  acquired and then rebranded again when merged together.

Note: I would add to the argument that better names lead to swifter acquisition that the reverse is also true. Great apps that start up with poor names like ZenDesk, get acquired on the cheap by big brands like SalesForce.com who simply invest a couple of million dollars into a better name like Desk.com and a simpler message about help desk support software.

Whether Salesforce.com now has the name that was the only roadblock to acquiring ZenDesk remains to be seen. But one only needs to look at the names of the other Help Desk applications Salesforce.com has been buying to see what names they will be needing from us: DimDimRyppleAssistly, of which their agency stated "We have been working really hard over the last few months with the Assistly team helping them update their website to ready it for this new launch, which includes not only a new pricing structure but a refined and simplified app. Basically, they made what was already super amazing Customer Wow even better! How they did this, we do not know. Zendesk eat your heart out. Assistly just got acquired by Salesforce for $50mil."

So what's another couple of million for a better name: pocket change!
