Jay Leno Features Quirky (.com): Making Money Naming New Inventions

Nothing like a plug on Jay Leno to kick start a new venture.

Yesterday, Quirky founder Ben Kaufman took late night by storm as a guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. After chatting about Quirky’s mission and process, Ben and Jay ran through a gallery of awesome inventions, from fan favorites Stem and Pivot Power to the upcoming safety product Signal. The segment has a few more surprises in store, and we don’t want to spoil the fun, so if you missed out on the late night spectacle, you can watch the full segment below!

Quirky.com looks to be on the way to being the web's next thing. Using crowdsourcing it takes Shark Tank to the next level and gives anyone a true American Dream chance to do with the entire resources of P&G are trying to do (see story I wrote from the domain angle arguing they own a gem portfolio and instead named this venture PGConnectDevelop.com). Quirky is a "quirky" name but shows what a memorable name can do to jumpstart a project and what a stupid one (is it p and G or pee and gee or P&G, or do they just buy a google ad and pay for traffic they lose on the grounds of stupid)

Any how watch the Leno piece which continues to part two and visit Quirky to see how you can submit the names Leno is asking about including the toothpaste brush invention.
Part Two continues HERE
