Barry Diller's Latest Domain Upgrade: From LocalVets.com to Veterinarians.com— Connecting Pets in Need With Vets Who Care
Effective August 5, Felix, a leading local advertising company today launched Veterinarians.com as the directory of choice for connecting consumers with veterinary hospitals to schedule an appointment. Formerly operated as LocalVets.com, the directory currently drives over 6,000 phone calls a day from consumers looking to schedule an appointment for their pet. The new Veterinarians.com offers up-to-date content such as biographies and deals nationwide for consumers selecting a new veterinary hospital for their pet.
Veterinarins.com, owned back in the day by Shaun Pilford recently became as established site owned by RankNumberOne until last month when he sold it to IAC.
"At this point in time, veterinarians need new sources for acquiring patients and Veterinarians.com is the perfect solution," said Dr. Bruce W. Little, AVMA Executive Vice President from 1996 to 2007. "After more than 48 years as a veterinarian, I can without doubt state that Veterinarians.com provides the best model for bringing new clients to veterinarians that I have seen."
Veterinarians only pay Veterinarians.com when they receive a new patient that spends money at the hospital. Using patented speech recognition technology and double-checking the hospital's appointment book, Veterinarians.com automatically closes the loop to provide the veterinary hospital assurance that they are spending money efficiently online.
"With more consumers than ever turning to the internet to find a veterinarian, we couldn't be more excited for the launch of Veterinarians.com," said Brent Metz, CEO of Felix. "The veterinary profession is very special to us and we look forward to continuing to deliver outstanding service to our veterinary hospitals."
