Dallas Robinson and Mike Bounomo, the inventors of Kiss Tixx, the kissing lip balm with a chemical and very tasty reaction, has made huge progress since they were featured on the Shark Tank Show. What started out as an idea in high school and developed while in college at Utah Valley University, went on to get a $50k SBA Loan to develop the KissTixx Invention. Soon after they had the KissTixx product in front of 5 million viewer's and 5 potential investors with a net worth in the billions.
If you want to be Successful on the Shark Tank Show, whether you make a deal with the Sharks or not, it's best to leave a lasting impression that will always be remembered. That's exactly what Robinson and Bounomo did. To demonstrate how the KissTixx works and needing two willing kissing partner's to actually kiss to make the chemical reaction take place, they actually got Kevin O'Leary and Barbara Corcoran to kiss. Yes, that's a lasting impression that I won't soon forget. I also won't forget how Kevin put his arm around Barbara, If I didn't know any better, it looks like he kind of liked it. Barbara, not so much.
Mark Cuban invests in the KissTixx Brand
The KissTixx product was unique enough of an idea to put Mark Cuban right on his game and put his negotiating skill's to work. As History has shown time and again, when Mark Cuban zero's in on a deal he knows will be successful, he usually gets exactly what he wants and on his terms. Making a deal with KissTixx was no exception. Cuban paid $200k for a 40% stake in the kissing business. It maybe was a little more equity that Robinson and Bounomo may of wanted to give up, then again, working side by side with a billionaire that is passionate about your business, was a very wise decision that will continue to pay dividend's for the rest of their lives.
KissTixx after the shark Tank Show Update
After KissTixx aired on March 2, 2012, their website lit up with orders coming in from around the country. As prepared as they thought they were and already expecting the Shark Tank Effect, the KissTixx website still could not handle all the traffic that came pouring in. When the dust began to settle, they ended up selling out over 5500 units of the KissTixx product.
Having fantastic success selling at the retail level directly from the website, the team has now been focusing their energy towards the wholesale level and expand the Brands awareness. In the summer of 2012 they sent out over 4000 samples to distribution centers around the world resulting in new connections in 44 different countries as it quickly expands around the globe. It appears that everyone likes to kiss and KissTixx is prepared to take full advantage of that fact. Any reason is a good reason but with Kiss Tixx, it's a Great One!
Even though Lori Greiner had the night off from the Shark Tank Show and did not get a chance to make a deal for Kiss Tixx, She has found her way into promoting the product on her famous Show seen on QVC. In fact, Lori has designed her own flavor of the KissTixx Brand she calls the "Two in One Lip Balm" which you can mix or match over 100 flavor combinations.
