Frank Schilling: 1971 Was A Great Year To Take Chess Lessons With Christian Nudists Smoking eCigs on Danny Pryor's Turnpikes or a Vietnam Train

"Maybe a better way to put it is what's old is new again. The walled garden. Domains = freedom which is why sales are strong" ~~Frank Schilling

You'll find those headline keyword domains and something for just about everyone in the final house and power seller Domain Name Sales results for April 2014. These are but a fraction of the total brokerage output. Some not disclosed are under NDA and consigned seller sales (Internet Traffic clients) are released on a quarterly basis only.

None-the-less the Chinese buyers continue to score the NNN and NNN's and even ministries are turning to Domain Sales to buy future brands so as not to spend time and money building one. Plus you see many dotNets in the mix but not much luck with other extensions.

Big congratulations on the many 6-7 figure sales including ShareConnect.com to my client-alumnus at Citrix (who along with Salesforce.com accounts for 2/3of the ten million plus cloud name sales closed in the last two years). And to the Asian Football Association for purchasing the Asian Cup for the big event coming up down under.

Plus it looks like Tornado shelters are going to be huger than ever and here lies an example of how someone can get 90% of the business with a  smart domain choice from the get go of their business (see below ToronadoShelters.com). This teaches us that the true future trends to look at are in terms of environment, legislation, medicine... not just cool stuff like 3D. Domainers who got this right, like Frank, are getting richer quicker.

Also congratulations to my friend Danny Pryor who has slowly and methodically built a nice niche in Turnpike domains and finally bellied up to the bar and acquired Turnpikes.com from Frank. Said Danny on Rick's board, "I have grown slowly, but I have grown, and my interests in domain investment are just as valid, whether I hand-register a domain for $10 or buy one on the aftermarket for $13,000, which I did recently." Danny is another kind of domain visionary who doesn't lose focus going after this latest thing or that, but discovers an unaddressed, under served niche where the technology of the web can change lives, and he works towards his goal as time and budget allows. And now pardon the turnpike pun but Danny's "arrived."

Here's the final sales with links to the end users that activated them. Hopefully this helps you better understand domains are valued in the real world.
