Recent Sales and Big Changes Afoot From Frank Schilling & Domain Name Sales

"Over the past year, my team and I began a journey that will hopefully see us “give back” much of what I have made and permit me to grow and become a better person for it."
~~ Frank Schilling

Greetings,

This week the Madison Ave .US buyer strikes again and never-to-be-available-to-anyone-at-anytime again gems like Jobsville.Com, JustSayNoToDrugs.Com, SignalComputers.Com, WallStreetReviews.Com DropYourPants.Com and AucklandAirport.Com found permanent homes with end users applying them in ways domainers never envisioned.

Like Depends diapers for millennials who bought DropYourPants.com for a call-to-action and landing page campaign. We also see many cctld holders bellying up to the bar to acquire the matching dot com. I believe the introduction of the Gs has accelerated this land grab.

According to Frank Schilling, "The weekly domain sales report at DNJournal shows that many people/companies still see a good domain name as a solid investment, and are willing to pay up for it An increasing section of society not only knows what a domain-name is, but understands that the good names are gone, and that there’s more demand for the good ones. Buying and selling domain-names has taken a generational leap forward over the past 5 years (I’m expecting the reality show any week now). Many of you (myself included) have several lifetimes of inventory to sell and you would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn’t embrace a lean-forward sales stance in a World where newTLDs and other innovations could cap the prices of your inventory."

"My friend Rick Schwartz is right that domain names have gone up faster than any other commodity known to man, but past performance is not indicative of future potential.  Markets are maturing and times are a changing."

Many of you asked where are the prices to go with these names?

Blogged Frank, "We are doing quite well over here. Sales are strong and climbing on the platform each month. Releasing sales numbers (which we did for a while) didn’t serve us super well, we didn’t add many new customer accounts – those in the industry who sell names know who we are and what we offer and that deals are getting cleared – word leaks out, that’s good for the time-being. We might come back to a more automated sales price release schedule when we get the sales platform integrated with the registrar later this summer. Still I’m not particularly fond of it because as I mentioned, we found it didn’t really serve the platform or do anything except provide free info to copycat buyers."

Frank adds via Twitter, "Making your fortune in the domain name business is as easy as applying yourself. The best is yet to come on our sales and monetization platforms. Planning to raise the bar in fall 2014 and spring 2015 Good, BIG changes :) InternetTraffic and @DNSalesCorp just won best monetization platform and best brokerage agency at Domainers Choice Awards! Opportunities abound for smart, driven people. Apply within."

Remember reported here are house sales and but a mere fraction of the total output of the full Domain Name Sales Team. Updates coming soon.
