It's Meow Time (.com) on Meow Mix (.com)

One of the greatest ad and social media campaigns EVER. By far, the best clip of the week! And yes, this time I actually "laughed out loud".

Not only does it take the web's biggest fascination— cats, but it combines it with something everyone loves— music, brilliantly playing off the words in the brand. As I have often said, test your domain strings for a musical match (like and a song everyone knows New York, New York that could play in a commercial so the final frame says right on the last utter of the words New York).

Check this music video out. You'll be glad you did and it's worth waiting for the commercial to end through though I don't see the point of a commercial when the video should be the commercial.

Meow Mix's classic "Meow Meow Meow Meow" could use an update, so the Big Heart-owned cat food brand is turning to consumers to give the jingle a modern-day boost in this new campaign via FCB Chicago. To get people inspired, the brand has released this goofy video featuring an electronic dance version from Indianapolis band Ashworth, and soon, we'll see a country mix.

The brand is inviting consumers to create their mixes with the help of their own cats and can upload their performances to the campaign site at Meow Mix will also be deploying mobile recording studios, where fans can create their tracks on site.

An August 13 event in New York's Columbus Circle will also feature country music star Kellie Pickler, who presumaby, will be performing some live meow-ing. The campaign also has a pro-bono component, and for every jingle recorded, Meow Mix will donate 100 meals to cats in need via the Food Bank of New York.
