|The Band: Back Together Again!|
Vern and I traded horror tales of domains won at auctions, locked for sixty days then forgotten at an obscure registrar.
Vern had just entered one of his realty portfolios in DNS Domain Tracker and couldn't be more excited about how that solves this problem. DNS, he said, "is now such a well-oiled machine, I intend to be spending my time on the registry side of the business."
The big news there was Go Daddy finally on-boarding all of Uniregistry's strings which will certainly cause a sale bump as they begin to appear in search suggestions.
"Proud to see all Uniregistry TLDs on the shelf at #Godaddy today! The best extensions are now available at the biggest registrar," Frank Tweeted.
Vern was also excited about the Newport Beach office, a large building where Registry and back end operates with a US presence staffed with a highly motivated sales team.
So many INCREDIBLE names follow in our long over due sales report. Having names like these on the shelf prove the bet had to be made long before demand and that's the same strategy Uniregistry expects for the g's. As I always say success begins with understanding."
So while "HearseForSale.Com" among others below, is no longer in Frank's house, according to Vern "dot COM demand has never been higher, long tails and all." (However Frager Factor stunned the world and took a lot of flack for my photo of a hearse suggesting a funeral for dotMobi and I was right not because I was smarter than anyone else, but only because I was privy to advance knowledge of the iPhone).
Note that a lot of the sales are outside the US to cccld owners looking to establish a global presence. Of course as was the case with the most imfamous domain miner of all-time Yun Ye, the Chinese lead the pack when it comes to appreciating and valuing the benefits of a clear, short and conscious generic domain name.
